Participants who, by their club, belong to one of the associations of the EJU and are in possession of a valid
license (Judo pass). Minimum rank 5. Kyu (yellow belt).
Double elimination system (double repechage) when more than 5 fighters per weight category, otherwise in groups of min. 3 to max. 5 participants.
If there are only 2 fighters in a weight category the winner is whoever won first 2 fights which means that if the score is 1-1 the 3rd match will decide.
If there is only a single participant in a weight category this category will be cancelled with the possibility to start in a higher weight category.
Participants are asked to be in possession of red and white competition belts.

The entry fee is fixed to € 10.- per participant and to be paid before the weighing on site. If a competitor signs in for several age groups and/or weight categories, the amount of the entry fee is fixed in accordance to the number of registrations.
This gives right to the handing over the fighter- and coach-card. The fighters-card have to be validated at the weighing. Please check the correctness of the registration of the participant as soon as the fighting lists are established.
Each additional entry of a participant on site, who is not on the entry form, will be billed at € 15.- per participant.
The maximum number of coaches per club is limited to 2. The coach-card is available for a deposit of € 5.- (refundable on return of the card).
Each club is also entitled to attendants in the hall. This number is limited to 3 and the appropriate wristbands are available at a price of € 5.- each (not refundable).
Only persons with a coach-card are admitted to stay in close proximity to the competition area. To avoid complications the clubs are advised to have the fighters be coached by persons familiar with the actual official IJF rules.
According to the official IJF rules. [Kansetsu-Waza (armlock) allowed for U18]. Referees will be on site.
However the following exceptions apply on Sunday:
U9 m/f (2006 + 2007) & U11 m/f (2004 + 2005)
Classic grip is required and is requested before any Hajime.
Arm-locks and strangleholds as well as taking one or both legs, sacrifice throws, voluntary sutemis, counters with grip under the belt, throws on one or both knees, grip in the back over the shoulder or the arm and the grip in the neck (when the hand or the forearm has contact with the neck ).
After a forbidden act a free Shido is given with explanation of the fault. There will be no equivalence points added to the opponent. After 4 more Shidos (total of 5) the competitor will lose the fight by Hansoku-Make.
Addition of 20 points and when reached, the fight ends.
No continuation in ground after Ippon in stand.
Holding times (in sec.): Ippon = 15, Waza-Ari = 10-14, Yuko = 5-9.
U13 m/f (2002 + 2003) & U15 m/f (2000 + 2001)
No classic grip required. Only strangleholds and arm-locks are prohibited.
After a forbidden act a Shido is given, the fault explained and penalties are added according to IJF rules.
Addition of evaluations on usual scoreboards.
Holding times (in sec.): Ippon = 20, Waza-Ari = 15-19, Yuko = 10-14
The referee is solely responsible for the good progress of the fights and the decisions he makes. The organizer has complete confidence in him and counts on his deployment.
Saturday:Medals for the first 3 in each weight category.
Sunday: Medals for the first 3 of each group and diploma for the 4th place.
Awards at the end of each age group. The rewarded judo fighters are asked to get their prices in Judogi.
Free entry for spectators and coaches (subject to the collateral deposit for the coach-cards.
To ensure a good course of the tournament only 1 coach per fighter, called to fight, is tolerated at the edge of the mat. Not called fighters as well as the attendants are off this area and spectators will stay in the provided stands.
The responsible persons are encouraged to make sure that their fighters and supporters know to behave with the necessary discipline. Any possible excess or lack of discipline which is judged to be unacceptable, as well by the referees as by the organizer, can mean the exclusion from the event.
The organizer will not be liable or responsible for any injury, accident, loss, etc.
EVERYTHING NOT STATED IN THESE RULES WILL BE, SHOULD THE OCCASION ARISE, EXAMINED BY THE ORGANIZER AND
DECIDED, PERHAPS TOGETHER WITH THE CONCERNED RESPONSIBLE PERSON(S) OF THE CLUB(S). THIS DECISION WILL BE
APPLIED JUST LIKE ANY OTHER RULES HELD INTO THIS DOCUMENT.
